When we created the Dharma Beans brand nearly twenty years ago, we did not understand cultural appropriation the way that we do now. In 2020 we recognized that this is not an appropriate brand for us and began the work to transition the product and brand. Recent events have caused us to recognize that we were not acting swiftly enough.

We have stopped selling the coffee and related branded items on our website. We plan to re-introduce the coffee (as it is a favorite) with entirely new branding later in 2021.

We are sincerely sorry for the harm that we have caused. We are particularly sorry for the hurt this has brought to the Hindu community.
