The Summer Solstice Coffee Story
The bright, bold flavors of our Summer Solstice coffee emerge from the dense, remote forest of the Uraga district in Ethiopia’s Guji zone. Biodiversity, climate, and ongoing preservation efforts have kept large parts of Guji feeling like a prehistoric forest. Sayfo Jaco’s farm is one of the largest in the area, to which he applies his lifetime of experience cultivating the resources of this unique region.
Light Roast
We boldly admit that our Light Roast is on the darker-side of this description. Many coffees do not develop well at this stage, tending to be acidic or even astringent, and sometimes featuring strong grassy or vegetable tastes. However, a few coffees fare well with this roast level and have a bright, eye-opening sassiness to them with just a touch of sweet.
